Community Guidelines

Syabiz is more than a media platform—it is a community of curious minds, passionate enthusiasts, and thoughtful readers. To foster a safe, inclusive, and constructive environment for everyone, we have established these Community Guidelines. They apply to all user interactions on our platform, including article comments, forum discussions, and guest contributions.

Our Commitment to a Safe Space

We welcome diverse perspectives and healthy debate. However, we have zero tolerance for behavior that harms, intimidates, or marginalizes others. By participating in the Syabiz community, you agree to uphold the following standards:

1. Be Respectful

Treat others with dignity and respect. Disagree with ideas, not individuals. Personal attacks, insults, name-calling, and harassment of any kind—whether based on race, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or political affiliation—are strictly prohibited.

2. Keep It Clean

We maintain a family-friendly environment. Profanity, obscene language, sexually explicit content, and graphic violence are not permitted in any user-generated content.

3. Stay on Topic

Keep discussions relevant to the article or thread. Off-topic comments, excessive self-promotion, and spam dilute the value of the conversation and will be removed.

4. No Misinformation

Do not intentionally share false, misleading, or unsubstantiated information, especially on sensitive topics such as health, science, or finance. If you make a factual claim, please provide reliable sources to back it up.

5. No Spam or Self-Promotion

Comments that solely promote external websites, products, services, or personal social media accounts will be flagged and removed. We value genuine engagement over promotional noise.

6. Protect Privacy

Do not share other people's personal information (doxxing), including phone numbers, addresses, email addresses, or private photos, without their explicit consent.

7. Respect Intellectual Property

Do not post content that infringes on copyright, trademarks, or other intellectual property rights. If you quote an external source, provide proper attribution.

Consequences of Violation

To ensure community safety, we reserve the right to take action against accounts and comments that violate these guidelines. Actions may include:

  • Warning — A private or public notification reminding the user of the guidelines.
  • Content Removal — Deletion of the violating comment or post.
  • Temporary Suspension — A short-term ban from commenting or contributing.
  • Permanent Ban — Complete revocation of community privileges for severe or repeated violations.

Moderation Process

Our moderation team actively monitors user contributions during business hours. We operate on a "see something, say something" principle—if you observe a violation, please report it to us using the contact information below. All reports are reviewed confidentially and objectively.

Appeals

If you believe your content was removed unfairly or your account was suspended in error, you have the right to appeal. Please send an appeal email to [email protected] with the subject line Community Guidelines Appeal and a detailed explanation of your case. Appeals are reviewed by a senior moderator within 5 business days.

Updates to These Guidelines

We reserve the right to update these Community Guidelines as our platform evolves. Significant changes will be communicated through a site-wide notice. Continued use of the community features after such changes constitutes acceptance of the updated guidelines.
